Native American Art Frequently Asked Questions What is a screensaver? Click here for more information. If you're looking for software to run, create or manage screensavers, click here.
Themes are created for computers running Microsoft Windows unless otherwise specified. What a theme does is changes the overall look of your windows, background, icons, title bars, buttons, boxes, etc. For example, with a Native American theme your "My Computer" icon may change to a tepee, and your window colors change to earth tones. To change your desktop theme Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Desktop Themes. If you need to install desktop themes, click Start, pointing to Settings, clicking Control Panel, double-clicking Add/Remove Programs, clicking the Windows Setup tab, clicking Desktop Themes, and then clicking Details. There is software that will allow to create your own themes, or simply make it easier to manage having many different themes on your computer. Click here for some popular software. What are desktop enhancements? Click here for more information.
Just like wallpaper in your house gives you some brief respite from staring at plain and sometimes rather drap walls, Wallpaper on your computer does pretty much the same thing. When you first start up your computer, and it finishes all of its thinking and sputtering, you'll find yourself staring at a screen with probably some icons on one side for different programs. Typically the background will be a solid color and otherwise very plain. Wallpaper puts a picture there for you instead.
