 Heidi
Skarie is a passionate writer and storyteller who recently published
the book Red Willow's Quest. She speaks and
gives workshops on Following your Quest in life, is a popular and frequent
interview guest on radio and television, and also teaches classes and workshops
on writing.
Skarie graduated with highest honors from the University of Wisconsin,
LaCrosse with a major in education and a minor in fine arts. She did graduate
work at St. Thomas, Minnesota in education and studied art at the Minnetonka
Art Center. Skarie shares her home with her husband and three children
in Minnetonka, Minnesota a suburb of Minneapolis.
Their home is located near Lake Minnetonka, which is of special interest
to her because the land surrounding the lake was sacred burial ground
for the Native Americans. Recently she finished Dragon Ships, a book on
the Norwegian Vikings that captures the spirit and adventure of those
courageous people. She is also working on completing a science fiction/fantasy
series entitled Star Rider.
